DENAS COLOR, a.s. - 12
DENAPUR - water diluted two-component polyurethan enamel -

DENAPUR
is a two-component water diluted enamel suitable for highly glossy and chemically resistant top finishing coats of metal prefabricated parts and structures. The enamel contains an acrylate component with a content of functional hydroxyl groups as the binding agent, inorganic and organic pigments, fillers, coalescents, solvents and special additives - biocides, detergents and dispersive agents, antifoaming agents, rheology modifiers, and other additives. DENAPOX SETTING AGENT contains an aliphatic polyisocyanate solution in an environmentally friendly solvent.

Use: Top finishing glossy coats of steel, zinced and aluminium structures for demanding applications requiring long operating life at a high degree of corrosive and chemical stress indoors as well as outdoors. The enamel is characterised by fast drying, increase of hardness and abhesion, by being mechanically and chemically resistant, and weatherproof. The product is used mainly for industrial application in metal-working industry, for coating of technological wholes in chemical and food industry, as well as in agriculture. Furthermore, the product can be used for coating of means of transport, industrial washing machines, engines, gearboxes, machine tools, machinery, and it is also suitable for surface finish in building and renovation.

Properties:
Density: 1.0 - 1.3 kg/l
Mass dry substance: 40 - 60 %
pH 7 - 9
Volume dry substance: 30 - 45 %
The enamel is supplied with high gloss (85 - 95% at 60°) or according to requirements even in a matt design.

Surface preparation: The grounds on the base of iron must be painted with the priming anticorrosive paint DENAKOR or DENAPOX Z while observing the procedure recommended by the producer. Other priming paints can be used after testing or after a consultation with the producer. The paint DENAPUR can be applied directly without the anticorrosive priming coat on zinced and aluminium structures, but only after thorough cleaning and degreasing of the ground.

Procedure: Before application, DENAPUR is mixed with the setting agent in the given ration (100 : 10 - 40), and the consistency is modified by adding 10 - 30 portions of water. The mixing rations of both the components are adjusted by the producer according to the type of application and the customer’s demands on the final properties and resistance of the coat. During adding the setting agent into the enamel, the enamel should be stirred all the time. Stirring is done by an appropriate mixing device (e.g. by a drilling machine with a stirrer), hand stirring is inadmissible. After both the components are perfectly mixed, it is recommended to stir the mixture again after 10 minutes. The starched mixture can be applied on the ground in one or more coats by a brush, a paint roller, or by spraying (pneumatic, Airlles, or Airmix). The producer always supplies the enamel adapted to the conditions during application and to the method of application. Workability of the starched enamel is max. 4 hours. It is recommended always to consult the method of application, the number of the coats and the thickness of the layers with the producer beforehand.

Spreading capacity: 6 - 8 m2 out of one kg of starched mixture for one coat when the thickness of the dry layer is 50 m.

Shades: It is produced in shades in accordance with the swatch RAL or in shades by arrangement with the producer.

Packaging and storage: Packaging in sheet metal or plastic packages with the volume of 1 to 20 kg with a corresponding amount of the setting agent. The product should be stored in original packages at temperatures from +5 až + 25 °C in places protected from direct solar radiation and sudden variations in temperature. Storage life is 12 months from the date of production.

Security and hygiene: DENAPUR SETTING AGENT contains an aliphatic polyisocyanate and is categorised under the law 356/2003 as Xi irritant - it can cause sensibilisation when coming into contact with skin. When working with the setting agent as well as with the starched enamel, follow the security instructions stated in the security sheet DENAPUR SETTING AGENT. Use protective clothing, plastic or rubber gloves, and protective glasses or a protective shield. When working in bounded spaces, provide aeration. When the aeration is imperfect or when spraying, use a face guard with a filter against organic vapours. If skin is stained extensively, wash the affected spots with water and soap; if eyes are hit, wash them out properly with a stream of clean water and seek medical treatment.

Waste liquidation: Take empty metal packages to a salvage collector, waste code: 150104. Plastic packages liquidate as other waste, waste code: 150102. Paint remainders and impure packages liquidate as dangerous waste, waste code: 080111.
